Ripple announces to contribute $50 million as a donation to boost institution and universities to carry out research in the field of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. This is in relation to their effort to collaborate with R&D to accelerate “innovation and understanding” revolving around blockchain technology. As we know, there is no future without blockchain, so they consider it as a training for the workforce of the future.

With the climbing interest in blockchain and its involvement in various sectors shows its wide acceptance and high potential to the world. From its assistance in building – transparency, cross-border payment, and lower cost to financial and money transfer mechanism – to its use for students, logistics, and security have initiated a vigorous and valuable payment ecosystem.

Being known for its fast transaction with a minimal fee, it is a unique member in crypto space to partner with academic universities for the development of this new ecosystem. This partnership has resulted in the shaping of University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) – collaboration intended for academic research, technical development, and innovation in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital payment.

Further, Ripple has committed to provide “technical expertise” and resource along with the funding. Though this partnership with 17 prestigious institutions around the world was meant for blockchain development, it also promises to build up a new curriculum to open up technology for the students.
